A sachet is a small plastic or paper or cloth packet that contains a small amount of liquid or powder product.
Sachets are usually smaller sealed flexible bags made from various flexible packaging materials. Sachets are manufactured using materials such as aluminium foil, paper, cellulosic, plastic and cloth. Sachets are a part of a compact package, sealed from all sides, unitized or single dose packing used for retail sale or sampling.
What is in a Sachet?
Sachets are most likely used to contain products in the form of liquid, powder, or pastes, such as tea, coffee, detergents, shampoo, mouth fresheners, ketchup, spices, cream, lubricant, oil, sugar, and sauces.
The major users of this form of packaging are sectors such as cosmetic & personal care, food & beverage, and the pharmaceutical industry. The reason that it is used so extensively is that sachets are cheaper than large size packets and take up less storage space, easy to buy due to their very less cost. The Sachets are used for packaging products that are generally targeted toward, lower income groups such as. poor or middle class consumers who are price-sensitive and would always prefer a cheaper form of the product.
How Sachet Machines Work?
The packaging roll is installed in a given roll mounting shaft which has roll unwinding fitment. Unwinding length is controlled by sensors. The roll is mounted on the top side of the machine. In mechanical models roll unwinding is done by pouch length pulling rollers. After unwinding the film roll pass through one folding collar where it takes the form of a tube. The Machine can be attached to an online printer also known as a date stamping machine. The date is stamped by fitting the film over the sliding rollers. The said Film is under constant pressure to make sure that the film stays in its place while the machine is doing vertical sealing and pulling. Pouch length is decided by the print mark which is printed on the packing film and censored by the print mark sensor. There is a pair of round horizontal sealers which has a cutting knife of various designs as per pouch requirement. Horizontal sealing can be of different patterns like line type or diamond type impression. During this unwinding, forming, tube formation and horizontal sealing process products are filled in the formed tube just before the horizontal sealing. Depending on products like cup filler for granular products, and syringe filler for liquid products, a suitable filling system will be fitted on a sachet packer machine. Sachets can be side seals or centre seal designs. Side seal designs have 3 side seal or 4 side seal patterns. This selection of design depends on market trends in that particular industry. The Advantages of Sachet Machine
